Other acts appearing are Bemis, Amalthea and Chris Ricketts, all of which have won the Guide best folk act award in the past. The whole thing is being compered by Shep Woolley. Its all completely free so hope for a lovely sunny day and bring a picnic!
This Friday’s gig at the New Inn in Drayton has been called off because the pub has changed hands. No we don’t understand either!!
Thw Wheelwrights in Havant has closed down so consequently our gig there on Friday 16th January won’t now be happening. Our apologies if you were planning on coming but we’ll be in the Portsmouth area regularly so come and see us then. All gig details are on the tour dates page.
Thank you to everybody who turned out on Saturday night and supported the gig we played in memory of James. Thanks to you we raised £520 which we will pass on to the Accomodation Resource Centre and to Newtown School Music Fund.
It’s that time of year again folks when we get to play and raise some money in memory of Phils son James. All the money raised goes to the Accomodation Resource Centre in Gosport, providing housing for young people and also to Newtown School in Gosport to provide musical instruments for the kids there. Last year thanks to you we raised £550 and we hope to do just as well this year. The event this year will be at the Civil Service Club, Fareham Road, Gosport on Saturday November 8th and we’ll post more details as we get them. Look forward to seeing you there!
We have a new live CD already recorded and it should be out in the very near future. We are now on a short break from playing live so we can concentrate on putting the finishing touches to the CD. We start playing again on the first weekend in August; see the tour page for all the details. Finally the band history page has been updated to include all the recent changes!
